We are delighted to announce that on January 22nd 2025 we will hold an Open Rehearsal. It will be an opportunity for prospective singers to experience an evening singing a variety of interesting music under the direction of our Musical Director, Stephen Anthony Brown. Alongside some work in preparation for our upcoming concert – The Creation by Haydn, we will cover some other short works for unaccompanied choir.

We are currently particularly looking for sopranos, but for this event we would welcome anyone who is considering joining us as a member. Come and try us out!

The evening is free of charge and there will be refreshments and an extended interval, giving you the opportunity to meet choir members and find out more about singing with the Allegri. Copies of the music will be provided and no preparation is necessary.

The Allegri Singers is an auditioned choir and our singers are expected to have strong choral singing skills including reasonable sight-reading ability and a good quality voice. We also expect singers to commit to attending regularly and doing work at home to become familiar with the music.
